Steinway B Rococo

Considered the most perfect piano built by Steinway & Sons, the Model B Rococo is an extremely rare instrument. This piano is a Model B but built with the “Style 2” cabinet, which was on the way out at the time of this instrument’s construction.

Built in 1878, this instrument marries the stunning beauty of the Rococo style and the wonderful sound of the Steinway Model B. This piano has been fully restored and is in like-new condition. See the description below for details about the restoration.

Restoration Completed:

  • Case and parts taken down to bare wood and refinish in walnut satin with multiple protective layers of lacquer.
  • Replate all the hardware.
  • Install new premium Buldoc soundboard, bridges, and pin block.
  • Install new genuine Steinway and Sons hammers, shanks, flanges, and whippens.
  • Regulated and voice all new parts.
  • Restore original ivory key tops.
  • Replace all key and key bed felts.
  • Restore the back action.

I was totally satisfied by my piano moves and tunings. I had Mr. Bruce move my piano into a second story Victorian loft apartment. He moved my piano up two extremely narrow flights of stairs. And the price was very reasonable. I will use him every time I move my pianos. Thanks a lot!
