EXPERIENCE
For 5 years Jennifer ran a large and successful piano studio of herself and three other teachers in Columbus, Ohio. Jennifer managed marketing, billing, interviewing, scheduling while also teaching private lessons, group classes, and coordinating performance events.
ABOUT THE STUDIO
Lessons are taught on a Baldwin Model M Baby Grand in a space that is informal, yet professional (NW 43rd and Classen). The studio is minutes from Whole Foods, Penn Square Mall, and plenty of restaurants making it a great location for parents who wish to drop off their child and run errands.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Beginner students start with 30-minute weekly lessons and progress to 45-minute lessons within 2-3 years. Adults are recommended to start at 45-minute or 60-minute weekly lessons. Students are instructed in piano technique, music theory, and functional piano skills (reading music and playing by ear). Repertoire will reflect the students learning needs and interests. Typically, students study a combination of folk, classical, and popular music. Music apps and games are often used to enhance learning.
